The Chhipa's, originally residents of Rajasthan, eventually migrated to Gujrat where they've built their own area - Chhipawad. No matter which part of the world the Chhipa's migrate to, they always call Chhipawad home. The word 'Chhipa' comes from 'Chhapna' which means 'to print'. The Chhipa's have been know for their skill and artistry in printing and handicrafts. it is still the most common business conducted by families in Chhipawad.
The women of Chhipawad are also very well known for their culinary skill. They say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, and that holds very true for the men of Chhipawad. The highlight of every event is food, be it a marrige, birth, or death. There are special meals for special times.

 Congratulation to Aman Chhipa for conducting Taraweeh prayers during the month of Ramadan 2006. Aman Chhipa is just 13 yrs old and was able to perform the taraweeh prayers with his friend Uzair Jawed. They both were complemented from CAIR as the youngest Iman in America.
